Dr. Mina Guirgis is a vascular surgeon who graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2012 and completed his Vascular Surgery residency at McMaster University in 2017. He is a staff vascular surgeon at the St. Catharines site of Niagara Health and a Clinical Assistant Professor at McMaster University.

His practice covers the full range of vascular disease — from varicose veins and venous insufficiency to aortic aneurysm screening, carotid and stroke-prevention work, and comprehensive wound care — with particular expertise in minimally invasive and endovenous management. He is known for a patient-centred approach that emphasizes prevention and individualized planning.

Dr. Guirgis extends Own Health's reach beyond the Toronto core into the Niagara region, and his work in limb salvage and wound management sits at the heart of our Limb and Vascular Care pathway. As a co-founder, he has helped shape a model designed to prevent amputations and avoidable complications through proper foot care, surveillance, and timely escalation — exactly the continuity that a single hospital cannot provide on its own.
