Medical Office Assistant

Your Responsibilities

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, supporting both patient care and administrative needs. You will:

  • Respond to phone and email inquiries from patients and families with professionalism and compassion
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and securely
  • Book follow-up appointments and manage clinician calendars
  • Process inbound tasks and faxes, ensure timely filing and routing of medical documents
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Perform general administrative duties including records management and coordination of care documentation

Your Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with EHR platforms (e.g., Accuro, Oscar, or similar) and comfort with digital tools
  • Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows
  • Team player mindset with a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
